Unlike terrestrial stockfarming, where species breathe fresh air and, therefore, spend their lives in an atmosphere of constant characteristics, breathing in water organisms happens in the water, an ever-changing environment (cloudiness, suspended solids, plankton). That is why it is necessary for us to be able to offer our fish a homogeneous quality environment to live in.

 

Effluent treatment

As a sustainable and responsible company, we take the necessary steps to return the effluents to the environment in perfect condition.

The means used are our settling ponds and the filters which are currently being installed.

 

Technology

By applying state-of-the-art technology we are able to improve our production management.

The use of more efficient feeds and water aeration have brought about a significant improvement of our environment.

 

Management

A stressed fish does not use the power the feed provides it with in order to grow, thus this energy is lost through its activity, breathing, etc.

The fish feeding systems and their state in the tanks is as important as the type of feed, or even more.

At our company we constantly watch the appetite and well-being of our fish.

 

Analyses

Having our own water analysis laboratory at our disposal guarantees a permanent control.

The subproducts from the processing lines are treated and stocked under veterinarian supervision to be subsequently collected by specialized companies.

 

Recycling

In 1997 the cans of compound feedingstuff were recycled for the first time. At present, a recycling policy is being implemented which comprises all our waste products.
