Mr Roman Arregui del Valle has been promoting and managing fish farms in Spain and aquaculture centers in Latin America since 1965.

1969 - Sets up Piscifactormas del Norte S.A. Grupo Tres Mares will stem from this company. From its beginnings it is dedicated to rainbow trout hatchery andgrowth.

1973 - Faced with the need for quality feeds, the construction of a feed factory is carried out in order to improve their formulas and the quality critera at that time.

1975 - After the feed formula's success, a processing plant is installed; thus the product variety increases: eviscerated, frozen and smoked trout.

1980 - The production increase requires building a new processing plant.

1984 - AWARD FOR BUSINESS EXCELLENCE.

1986 - The fish farm is now owned by Agrofish.

1987 - Under the construction supervision of Mr Roman Arregui a new incubation plant is built with a capacity of three million eggs and a new pond area.

1991 - It was handed over to Grupo Tres Mares S.A. Its objectives: to turn the fish farm into a versatile marine aquaculture center to be able to diversify towards sea species and to rear trouts in sea water.

1994 - Construction of the sea outfall and new growing area.

1995 - The sector's demand manifests itself in the construction of an evisceration and freezing plant.

1996 - Truchas del Umia S.L. is acquired and modernized so as to provide Grupo Tres Mares S.A. with fry.

2001 - New freezing tunnel and cardboard plant.

2002 - Launch of the new corporate image of Grupo Tres Mares S.A.
